This poster was printed by the Strobridge Lithographing Company for the Barnum and Bailey Circus. It's dimensions are 28" x 42". The Strobridge Lithographing Company primarily used industrial-scale color lithography to produce posters, having transitioned from stone to zinc plates for faster production. They heavily utilized offset printing presses, which allowed for rapid, high-volume production of vibrant, multi-colored advertisements for clients like cinemas and circuses. Since this poster is from 1916 which is before Barnum and Bailey and Ringling Bros merged in 1919. Ringling Bros bought Barnum and Bailey in 1907 but operated them seperately until then.
